CYP Haven

The Children and Young People’s Haven is an out-of-hours crisis drop-in for young people aged 10-18 who are suffering from emotional distress or struggling with mental health problems. CYP Haven is a partnership project run by Surrey County Council and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust, funded by the NHS.

There are four CYP Havens in Surrey; Guildford, Staines, Epsom and Redhill. Each of our CYP Havens opens on different evenings during the week 4-8.30pm and a Saturday or Sunday 12-6pm at the weekend, meaning that there will always be at least one CYP Haven open in Surrey on any day of the week.

Our friendly staff teams are comprised of a Mental Health Professional, a Youth Worker and a Children’s Rights Worker which means we can provide a comprehensive range of support, guidance and advocacy.

During the weekend sessions we run a rolling programme of workshops aimed at developing the young people’s knowledge, coping strategies and resilience around a range of mental health related topics. The times of sessions, locations of the CYP Havens and the workshops programme can all be found on our website at www.cyphaven.net.

Please note:

You don’t need an appointment to attend any of the sessions or workshops. Just come along.
You can bring a friend, parent, carer or case worker.
It may be a good idea to visit your local CYP Haven for the first time when you are not in crisis, so that you can get familiar with the centre and the staff.
