Friday 5th LOKI DREAD STAGE

4pm – 6pm / TST DJs / Funk – Breaks

Sam, Tom and Mark formed TST (The Saturday Thing) in 2009 as a platform for their DJ nights in and around Guildford and Sam & Mark founded Staycation Live Festival shortly after, with Tom joining them early on. You can catch Redeye Allen, Sam Able and Levski playing an eclectic mix of styles at the opening party in the Cloister on the Friday night and then popping up through the rest of the weekend.

6pm – 7pm / Beatles Dub Club / Dub – Reggae – Hip hop

A special DJ set showcasing The Fab Four like you’ve never heard before! DJ Chris Arnold is bringing together his collection of covers and remixes as well as tunes that sampled arguably the greatest band that ever existed – The Beatles.

Expect to hear plenty of reggae, ska, Latin, hip hop, funk and even drum & bass takes on the wonderful music created by John, Paul, George & Ringo.

7:30pm – 8:30pm / Bare Jams / Soul – Pop – Dub

Bare Jams captures the sounds of that one summer you’ll never forget. Starting out as the passion project of Ollie Coombes and Sam James, the band has grown and evolved from the modest duo busking in 2011, into the full fat festival force it is today. Now a six strong collective, the members come together to blend a tight fusion of genres, seamlessly mixing flavours of reggae, dub, soul, pop, and ska into a unique, collaborative sound. This sound is delivered with exuberance and relentless energy, creating a stage presence radiating love and good times.

Second instalment from Staycation Live Festival organisers TST Live DJ’s. Switching it up to keep you parting into the night!

 SATURDAY 6th LOKI DREAD STAGE

11:30 – 12pm / Cassidy and the Headkeepers / Soul – Roots

Cassidy is bringing her powerhouse vocals and rapping skills to the STAYCATION stage. Backed by Harry Forbes on acoustic guitar. Serving sassy tunes and a variety of classic hits from old to new!

12:30 pm– 1:30pm / Lead Shot Hazard / Ska – Punk

A coming together of third wave kids-fast paced / horn driven ska / punk whose aim is to make audiences bounce and then hum their songs on the way home.

1:50pm – 2:50pm /Riot Weekend /Grunge – Alt

Riot Weekend is a female fronted 4-piece Alt Punk-Rock band from Guildford, Surrey. They enjoy bringing energy to the stage with original music influenced by artists such as Green Day, Simple Plan and Halestorm. Riot Weekend have recently released their self-titled debut EP ‘Riot Weekend’, which can be found on all major streaming platforms.

 3:10pm – 4:10pm / Mike Dennis / Loop Violin – Hip Hop

One of Staycation Lives favourite acts and all-round amazing human being Mike Dennis blew us away when he played on the Loki stage a few years back and we’re so happy to have him back for 2022. Shivers down the spine stuff with wonderfully crafted lyrics, punchy hip hop beats and the sweet sound of the classical violin.

4:30pm – 5:15pm / Abraskadabra / Ska – Punk

Formed in 2003 in Curitiba in Brazil by high school friends who liked both punk and ska and wanted to play something a little different.

5:30pm – 6 :50pm / TST DJ’s / Breaks – House – Disco

Your third and final instalment from the TST DJ’s with some chilled sounds and house vibes for a sunny afternoon in the park.

7:10pm – 8:30pm / Mellowmatic / Jazz – Hip- Hop – Neo Soul

Eagerly anticipated and bursting onto the UK music scene with soul-funk grooves, jazz style, neo-soul vibes and hip-hop flavours. Fronted by female and male lead vocalists, with keys, synths and sax features, delivering infectious bop through to tasty grooves and breaks. Mellowmatic bring a live set engineered to rock any stage and take their audience on an eclectic musical journey via Boom bap 90’s to present day. Executing a tight musical performance, smoother than butter every time, this big-sound-high-energy band is made to be seen and heard.

8:50 pm – 9:50pm / Captain Flatcap DJ set / Electro-swing – Live flute

We heard you Staycationeers! We asked who you wanted to see back for our 10-year Anniversary and DJ Captain Flatcap was right up the list of your most wanted. The Captain’s DJ sets are centred around vintage remix and includes influences of swing, ska, funk, folk and various genres of dance music. Expect some live flute action to accompany the fat Flatcap beats!

10pm – 11pm / JFB / Beats- Breaks -Turntablism

JFB, is definitely an artist to look out for. His successes have mainly been obtained from the ability to rock many parties with many styles, crossing over all the musical genres ranging from Jazz, Funk, Hip-hop, Dubstep, Glitch-hop, Electro-swing, Ghetto Funk, Breakbeat, Drumstep & Drum&bass.

Singer, songwriter, actor, producer, and multi- instrumentalist.

1:20 pm – 2:20pm / The Agreement / Rock – Glam – New Wave – Mod – Beat

Five-piece covers band based in Godalming, Surrey, playing an eclectic mix of music from 1960s-2000s

 2:40pm – 3:40pm / Professor Elemental / Chap Hop- Hip Hop

An award-winning hip-hop artist and accomplished host, the Professor has performed all over the world at everything from festivals to wedding parties, hip hop shows to bizarre burlesque. A regular on the worldwide convention and festival scene he has played everywhere from Canada to Cambodia.

4pm – 5pm / Black Cat Boppers / Americana – Blues – Rockabilly

Black Kat Boppers formed after some chance meetings, speculative phone calls and a little bit of fate.  A shared love for rockin’ roots music was clear and they haven’t looked back since.  There’s been triumphant performances at Glastonbury many times, Port Eliot, Bestival & Hyde Park (with Blur & The Specials).  They’ve rocked Notting Hill Carnival, Rockabilly Rave Latitude & Viva Las Vegas, not to mention performing a memorable set with Florence and The Machine at Bob Geldof’s 60th birthday party.

5:20pm – 6 :45pm / TC and the Groove Family / Afrobeat – Live D&B

TC & The Groove Family are a 10-piece collective whose music celebrates the coming together of cultures, and the unity that music can provide for everyone. They explore grooves and genres from the UK and around the world, including afrobeat, breakbeat, jungle, jazz and highlife. One of the tightest, slickest, technically brilliant and god damn grooviest bands we’ve ever seen, strap in for this one!

 SUNDAY 7th LOKI DREAD STAGE

Floored Capri is a DJ, producer, and radio presenter on Kane FM. His late-night Twilight Transmission programmes sponsored by Godalming’s Record Corner showcase music from all over the globe and explore the full timeline of electronic music and street sounds. From the funk of West Africa to Trinidad’s rapso movement, British club jazz to Jamaican disco reggae and dub. Handpicked vinyl selections from the past, present & future which are Soundsystem-ready and guaranteed to get you on the floor.

1:50pm – 2:50pm/ Lunchtime Funk with Johnny H / Funk – Old School

Godalming Legend Johnny H has been working as a DJ in Guildford, Godalming and further afield for over 15 years and front’s Kane FM’s One Foot in the Groove radio show. He has held long-term residencies at The Mandalay, The House of Blues, The Glass House, and his music proved the foundation for popular weekly events at all three venues.

Original reggae vibes from firm festival favourites.

 4:30pm – 5:30pm / Hush Mozey / Punk – Garage

Hush Mozey are a three-piece band from Bristol, who bring together Ska, Punk and Garage music to create a sound they like to call Drowsy Rock and Roll. Hush Mozey have been featured on BBC Introducing, BBC Upload and have been championed by Steve Lamacq on his “Recommends” show on BBC 6 Music. The band have become a staple of the Bristol live scene with packed out shows bringing a party wherever they go.

SUNDAY 7th AXTELL STAGE

12:00 pm – 1 pm / James Deane / Roots – Covers

Armed with a guitar, an extensive repertoire and an outstanding vocal talent, James is one of the UK’s most in-demand musicians. Having thrilled audiences far and wide, James has proven his world class pedigree during performances alongside the likes of Green Day, Stereophonics, Muse, Tom Jones, Roxette, The Verve and Catatonia.

 1:20 pm – 2:20pm / Bluescasters / Blues

Following the sad Covid death of Nick, one of the founders and guitarist in The Bluescasters, the band was forced into taking a short break from performing. After some reflection, Rob, the remaining founder has been busy putting a new band together who are now ready to hit the road in 2022. The Bluescasters are continuing to perform as before, blues from its original delta and Chicago roots infused with a touch of British R’n’B.

2:40pm – 3:40pm / Justments / Blues – Rock – Soul

Markus Flaherty, Tom Worrall and Roger Quilter come together to bring you a new project, centred on a love of song writing and musicianship. Influences include Bill Withers, Bobby Womack & Sly and the family stone.

4pm – 5pm / Stephen Lewis and the big band of fun / Blues – Soul -Funk

Stephen Lewis & The Big Band of Fun is a high energy loop-based funk/hip hop band from New Brunswick, Canada. They are an international touring band who are very familiar with the music festival circuit. They have performed at festivals like Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair and Burning Man. If you love a high energy, highly danceable, extremely engaging, flat out unforgettable show then look no further. Get ready to sing, sweat, and dance with Stephen Lewis & The Big Band of Fun!

You can tell from the way they play, talk, and live that Will And The People aren’t following a formula or trying to follow the pack. They play music because it makes them feel good, feel free and feel whole. Their music is nostalgic, colourful, both melodically and lyrically, and it packs a punch; heavy guitars, catchy synth lines and punchy drums frame these wonderful compositions.
